So I ordered Kit's waffle Iron the first night somebody said that it was no longer on the website. When I get my waffle iron set there are no waffles or whip cream. I call up to get a replacement waffles and whip cream. The CS guy says that they do not have replacement pieces for the set, they would have to send me a brand new set, and I should just donate the other one. So I got my new set a week ago and I'm puzzled over this. The waffles and whip cream were in there (so at least my set is complete), but the waffle makers ceramic top is broken.
I'm thinking two things at this point:
1) I've gotton two defective sets in a row, but at least the parts that are defective in one are not defective in the other.
2) I just saved somebody the trouble of getting a defective set with my defective set.
Just something I wanted to point out.
They had replacement waffles two weeks ago. I ordered 4 sets! I will have to look up the number. The number was OCAC-02. A set of 2 waffles with whipped cream was $2.00

I had a similar problem when I got my Waffle Iron. The waffles/cream were in the set, but the top of the iron had come off! At first I couldn't figure out what the ceramic thing went to until I saw the top of the iron had a glue mark on it. Luckily the ceramic top was not broken on mine, just unglued, so I was able to hot glue it back on. Did this happen to anyone else?
Actually the hinge pin on my waffle iron is bent and not all the way in. I am just going to find a new hinge pin.

I bought mine from Ebay and the platter arrived broken. Seller called AG to find out if they had it for replacement but the answer was negative [img]frown.gif[/img] She says she is sorry and she can't do anything about it [img]frown.gif[/img]

I wonder if when something is getting discontinued, the warehouse is "scraping the bottom of the barrel" as it were. Which means using old returns or combining old returns? It seems the end of an item isn't as perfect as the beginning. I've noticed that with other items too.
It's a sound business practice to use as much stock as possible. But items shouldn't be sold at full price if they are seconds. Just a guess.

The waffle iron set I got recently actually had extra stuff in there, rather than missing stuff. I guess whoever packed the box didn't see the plate and stuff under the iron and added another set.
I ordered 5 sets for and out of that 3 came broken. - They did have replacement platters as of Last week - They sent me one, but for the other two they sent me whole new sets.
